I tend to give remakes/"remasters" a lot of leeway, but the art definitely seems worse. I'm not sure why they thought they needed to replace dat 90s Gainax.

Does the gameplay have some flexibility, or is it very rigid and have a lot of trial and error? I tried Long Live the Queen, which supposedly has a similar concept, and it's micro managed to hell and impossible to get through without a guide.

In Japanese there's plenty more raising sims such as Graduation. There's also a gradual change to dating sims.
