There isn't any actual color difference between NTSC and PAL except for distance transmissions. Let's put an end to this meme once and for all, shall we?
If you want, embrace the glorious extra vertical pixels and brag about it (even though most of the times it was black bars), but the color thing just isn't true.

Have a nice day, Australia-kun!

Check this thread when Aus-kun got owned:

>>/vr/thread/S3485985#p3486525

No, there isn't a color difference in PAL and NTSC when it comes to console games, the difference is with transmissions (TV signals)

>> No.3653189

>>3653183
That doesn't seem like a very accurate test. You have to actually see the TVs in motion in real life to tell a difference.

>> No.3653198

>>3653189

Regardless, the guy got owned at his own game, he was convinced the supposed "PAL" color, which was actually NTSC, was better.

In practise, it'd depend more on the cables and the quality of the TV, rather than if it's PAL or NTSC, and again, the color difference only matters with TV transmissions, not video game consoles that are directly connected to the TV.

Color difference only matters on transmissions, not on consoles that are physically plugged into the TV. Get this into your little damage brain.

NTSC and PAL are transmission formats. It doesn't matter when it comes to consoles connected to the TV. How many times do I have to repeat this?

Moreover, I imported a multinorm TV from Brazil last year when I was heavily into collecting CRTs.
Multinorm allows you to choose between NTSC and PAL. I could see for myself how the colors are the same, only difference was PAL got borders on most games.

Good taste. I throw that motherfucker in anytime. I love how there's also meaningful changes between difficulty instead of the usual nonsense. So Normal is well, normal. Easy is significantly less in damage done and has little baby jumps that even a blind man could stick. Hard changes enemy placement significantly, puts more emphasis on the ability to whip with back of your whip during startup, changes platforms so jumps are harder, and puts enemies in locations where they'd be most ... interesting to the new jumps.

I play this motherfucker every month.

>>3653404
It was entertaining though, and that's all that matters. Sure the level layout was awkward but it wasn't straight up garbage like portrait of ruin. Go through library; end up in graveyard.

Appropriating soul collecting from aria and dawn didn't feel too good since that system sucks. But since it wasn't 100% random all the time always that's a pleasant change. At least the tone was consistent. Comically worthless Dracula fight, however. Iga should feel ashamed for that one.

Maybe they'll re-release them in some... no they won't! they don't care about video games anymore, maybe they deleted all the source code and assets for most of their games and burned all the old Konami video game stuff to make space to store more pachinkos.

I wish at least they sold their video games IPs to Capcom or any other video game company, even EA or anybody but even that happening is a stretch since they need characters to adorn they pachinko machines.

Bad luck.

Shouldn't Castlevania II: Simon's Quest be considered the true start of the Metroidvania instead of Symphony of the Night?
But personally, movie-censorship has far superior censorship/alternate version comparisons for Movies.

The second one for PS2, Curse of Darkness, is also quite good.

Not a lot of connection to the main plotlines/characters of Castlevania, but lots of bizarre Ayami Kojima characters with interesting personalities, and in general just lots and lots more weapons, collectibles, grinding, a crafting system, commandable demon companions, and more Metroidvania-like overall.
