If everyone bought games at 99 cents all you'd get is early access steam stuff. It's a cool game, well worth the 20 bucks it goes for.

Needs a real sale. Will buy for 10 dollars.

Two things I didn't like about the game:
- It uses 2 GB of memory for no reason
- They didn't take into consideration the sprite limit of the original game (in Classic Mode). It makes the game a littler more hectic. Not harder, because you can't get any harder than the original Leynos. Maybe if you disabled auto-heal.

Was the original Leynos even harder? I thought Arcade Mode in the remake was a respectable challenge, but Classic mode was even tougher, because so many god damn enemies were always on the screen.

Leynos was so hard that the localization (Target Earth) came with an infinite health code.

IIRC, the original Leynos had:
- the controls were ass, specially in the zero gravity environments
- an enemy exploding damages you (it also does in Classic Mode of PC/PS4)
- the shield is an equip, and there's no button to get it to come out - you're always with it
- each armor gives you 4 extra bars of health
- no punch
- final boss is much harder to damage

The only thing the remake did to make it "fresh" was danmaku bosses. That said, the original had pretty easy bosses, if you just saved your missiles until them.
