To be perfectly honest, I don't care for RPGs, but Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario are great. Also, check out Earthbound.

Can anyone help me find a game?

It was released for Windows, around Win95 era.
It was mostly like FF4 in looks and gameplay.
The main character was a fighter with blond hair.
I think the name had "Wolf" in it.

Any ideas?

Some of them are, even CT Crimson Echoes is there (that fan made cancelled sequel for Chrono Trigger). Not all of them of course, but its a good rom pack (for starters).

Earthbound, Tales of Phantasia, Legend of mana or any Final Fantasy for snes
Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, any Lunar, Final Fantasy VII/IX for psx
Any Phantasy Star (IV is the best) or Shining Force for Genesis

While it's more of a Action/RPG (Zelda with leveling, if you want), it was my stepping stone into the genre (along side Dragon Warrior/Quest 1).

Let me guess, you're watching the Matt and Pat LP.
It's not that bad of a game. Storywise it messes around with a few things but take it as a what if story. It's a beautiful game.

I'd recommend Grandia over Xenogears.

Xenogears starts out great but goes to shit once you hit disc 2. The obvious lack of funding and the rush to get it released really killed the momentum of the game.
