I guess the original DC version of Grandia II is best, and some people think Sonic Adventure 1 is better on DC, but that game sucks shit either way. The console just has nostalgic value, plus it's such a cute looking console.

No one I knew had one, everyone was waiting for PS2 and Gamecube. I happened to get into PC gaming around that time so I never got either 3 of those, never even got a ps2 til the ps3 was launched.
Maybe i'll make it my New Years Resolution to get myself a Dreamcast. With Christmas coming up I just won't be able to spare the money for it + games right now, gotta take care of buying presents first.

Most of the fighting games have the best release on Dreamcast.

I played alot of puzzle fighter. That game was fun, it got a HD remix on ps3 though.

Dreamcast was a pretty damn good system at the time, and was the system to own if you like fighting games.

Def wasn't over rated. Lot of arcade ports that were superior to all the other ports.

At the time the graphics were incredible, if you're not underage you would remember this.

The gamecube was pretty shit (like every nintendo console after the SNES) if you weren't a die-hard Nintendo fan.

PS2 obviously was the better console but Dreamcast wasn't bad and didn't have bad games.

I hardly see this game mentioned, but I love it.
Really fun racer with a cool gambling/betting gimmick where you can challenge other racers to beat certain challenges in a race.
You can upgrade the car (reflected visually with superchargers and the like), great variety of crazy tracks (on mountainsides, through Last Vegas etc) complete with short cuts, and killer soundtrack.
Please check it out!
I think there was a pc version, but not sure if there's a big difference.
