I have a group project for this year where I must create a retro video game taking old concepts of retro games and making them up to date. It must be a game that create thrill and excitement for potential viewers around the players. We have developed a concept so I'm here to take advices on it.

The idea: Arcade Kingdom. The gameplay is a 1v1 mobile game where players confronts each other in vrey quick rounds using retro games mechanics (space invaders,etc..)
the goal of the game is to become the Arcade King. By playing (and winning) you gain points. This points can be used to unlock certain outfits or such things for the avatar, as well as game modes.
