I'd get an AVS instead, but that's much more expensive. Another alternative is a proper RGB mod for my nes, which are also not cheap. Both are probably better options.

just came into this thread to say that if a soldered chip scares you you are a fucking pleb. Probably most people won't hack it but I bet that in a few month a couple of hackers will have desoldered the Chip, and since it's a standard flash they will dump everything with IC2 and decode the ROMS images, and then feeding your info to the system through a custom board (or just re-flashing the chip) is a joke.

There is a PAL release planned. If I'm correct it will be coming out next week.

If it does run 60hz, It would be a massive improvement over the og PAL NES.

I'm just not willing to put down 60 bucks for an emulation machine with a bunch of games that I already own, just to play them at a higher frame rate.
