Was 50$ for this a good deal?

>> No.3587781

The currency ($) goes before the value, millennial.

What, back when it was released or now, in a retro shop?

I regularly list GT2 as one of the very best values in gaming because it's a GREAT game but it can easily be found for $3 or less.

>> No.3587870

It's hardly fucking Tron Bonne m8, you could have got it for tuppence had you looked a bit.

>> No.3587882

>>3587769

What the fuck. No. I got mine like 15 years ago for 8 dollars.

Sure was when it was new, >>3587806
got burned though, could have bought a dualshock PS1, and GT2 CIB for less.

>> No.3587905

Only I you got the greatest hits version. Black label is a buggy mess.

>> No.3587916

I paid 5 bucks

you got ripped the fuck off

>> No.3587920

I paid 3 bucks for this CIB back in 2014, you got hella ripped out.

You should easily get this game between 1-3 dollars loose or 4-8 dollars complete.

Still GT 2 is an amazing game with an amazing soundtrack if you take out all the licensed stuff.

AKA just play the Japanese version.

retro games should not go above their original price, you got played.

NFS2 was better imo

>> No.3588281

>>3588270
If we compared the game with other sims then it would lose because it sucks as a sim. Just accept that its a simcade.

>> No.3588318

>>3588281
Still leagues of difference

If you know anything about modern racing games for example, GRID is a simcade because it fucking sucks compared to rFactor or any real sim, but it is also barely an arcade when compared with Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 3.

Basically it is just a shitty sim, not really an arcade.

No. I never paid more than a buck for any of mine

How about black label GT1 and 2 with the case and all the booklets, and the discs are pretty much unscratched for $16 bucks, was that a good deal?

>> No.3588402

No. Gt is like bargain bin $5 shit, nothing more.

Bait thread, yeah? It's a $4 game, black or green label. I did find Vagrant Story and a nice framed painting today for $3 and $5 so it was a good flea market run.

GT games have no additional value for being black label because the GH releases have fixes and improvements.

>> No.3590580

I never bought a GT game, was that a good deal?

I easily put over 200h in it and I played with emulators.
I did buy it back in the day for 25€ (Plat version) but it was my dad who mostly played.

I'd play GT4 if emulators could run it decently, but I have to say GT2 does have a unique "90's" feeling about it.
