98 and 2002 are number 1 on fightcade, I also remember hearing about it (and Virtua Fighter) being more popular than SF in either Japan or Korea, can't remember which though.

Hinako from King of Fighters was always a character I liked, but from what I've seen she seems to be unpopular.

She's fairly low tier. Just doesn't get a ton of attention, and only made it into a couple of games. I think she's a great character though and loads of fun to use.

Ukyo Tachibana from Samurai Shodown was a fun, if somewhat tragic character. Seems only the chicks and haohmaru get any love from this series.

Also how do you prononce Choi/Chang's full names in proper Korean anyway? In my head "Bounge" rhymes with "lounge" and "Koehan" is two syllables but there's obviously no way either could be right

I love May Lee.
We still have some arcades here in Brazil and back when i played KoF 2002 almost daily at the local arcade with some bros, i knew how to perform some NASTY combos with May Lee that could eat up a lot of health using only one or two stocks.

I can't perform them anymore because i quit playing KoF entirely, but i remember two awesome combos:

cl. heavy kick(2), ↓↘→ kick(2) + kick(1) + ↘ kick(1), as soon as the last kick hits, immediately LP + LK + HP, she will change her fighting stance into hero mode, resetting her recovery frames from the last attack and giving you a small frame window to follow up with heavy kick, ↓↙← light punch, ↓↘→ ↓↘→ punch (super cancel).

This one is my favorite, it's flashy, it's somewhat long, requires precision and destroys almost 70% of opponent's health using only one stock.

cl. heavy kick (1), hero mode, ↓ heavy punch(1), ↓↙← heavy punch(1), jump and ↓↘→ ↓↘→ punch.

Not as flashy but it deals nice damage and is quick and clean (for KoF standards). This couldn't be different from any other good May Lee combo in that it has tricky timing and requires tight execution that takes some practice.
First, you need to be quick when linking the first hit of the close heavy kick into ↓ heavy punch after changing into hero mode, then you need to jump again and do the super very fast after landing from the aerial chop (↓↙← heavy punch), you could super cancel the aerial chop into the desperation move but that takes two stocks and scales damage.

Someday i'm gonna boot up KoF 2002 in my old ps2 again and practice her combos. Currently, i'm playing 3rd Strike on Fightcade and main Urien.
