I know this isn't gonna be popular around here, but you'd honestly be better off playing the new 3D remake of FFIII. It's got a proper professional translation along with other stuff like rebalancing the job system (so that the jobs don't become obsolete after unlocking the next tier of jobs) and an auto battle button that automatically uses the last commands you selected and increases the animation speed (makes the game less of a slog when you're fighting the same random encounters over and over). You can even choose between the remixed OST and the original OST.

Not if you speak moon. Keep in mind though, most people don't. If you don't speak it, it would be extremely stupid to play a JRPG in it's original Japanese.

What if it's hacked to have all of these? Just the normal games from both regions, like if they're in some weird format and it's too burdensome to make it run other games? Maybe a few others.

for starters, we dont know how the internals of this thing are.

in order to be moddable, it needs to have a removable memory, like the 'embedded' Microsd on the neogeo X.

theres a high chance the data is stored on an internal nand memory or something like that, this is a nintendo product afterall.

if it is that way, then neither of those things will ever be hacked. or will be hacked only by people with special resources no regular game can have access.

As soon as they're released someone will hack them apart and examine the chips on the board. Back when the MiniNES was announced I suspected that the thing was actually a re-purposed 3DS since the hardware already existed and it already has all the software needed to pull something like this off. If people actually were willing to consume these to put raspberry piis in them, then you'd have leftover internals of these for people to experiment with, and presumably they'd do it with both western and japanese versions, so at the very least they would want to transfer the roms between them. There's be a bit of a market for that, but then the first thing of that sort that would be worth doing would be transferring the NES-mini controllers onto the famicom-mini.

You're right, as of now we don't know for sure but I'm leaning toward them not including it

The rom for VS Super Mario Bros. is tiny, space is not an issue

The only reason not to include it, and lots of other games, is to make more money when they release other versions of the NES/Famicom Mini

And yes I know all companies are supposed to make money but they could have offered more games

Lately Nintendo just sucks when coming onto the nostalgia bandwagon. The Super Mario Allstars collection could have been so badass but they just gave us the bare minimum.
