Favorite game in terms of gameplay is probably Mars Matrix, but when I really think Dreamcast it's a toss up between D2 and Illbleed. Haven't played Shenmue yet though, so the others might be unseated when I do.

It's 6th Gen, and 6th Gen isn't retro.
The only reason it's allowed is because of a very loud minority bitching, moaning, and crying until the mods gave in, simply because it was the only 6th Gen platform to be released before the board's date cutoff.

Dreamcast was an intergen console, and is more gen 5 than gen 6. Most of its multi-platform games were also on Playstation and N64, after all.

You don't necessarily get to enjoy the full breadth of a console the year it releases. It takes a few years to get going, get games released, etc.

So you were probably 13-15 when you could really experience the full DC experience. That's not childhood that's adolescence.

the rules say 1999 or before, dreamcast came out in 1998/99, however Its also 6th gen.
The reason it was allowed is because there is no reason to say pre-2000 unless you intend to include the dreamcast. If dreamcast is not retro, then why even include the date cutoff for consoles and not just leave it at "no 6th gen or later".
