So, what were your endgame parties for this game? Mine was Hero, Slime Knight, Golem and King Cureslime. I tried to make a party only using monsters, so my family members weren't necessary.

So... DQV general, I guess.

I only have played the original SFC version, my final team was the hero, son, and daughter. Others in my caravan were borongo and my slime knight for backup and two cure slimes for healing. Personally I find the wives useless, I never liked their characters and in battle from I've researched all of them seem pretty outclassed by other characters. The children are both very good though, I recommend using them.

This is a single player game.
It's not built around PvP, and as so, it doesn't require balanced playable characters, or different strategies to beat your opponent.

Great Dragon, King Cureslime, Golem and Slime Knight are the best monsters by a landslide, there is no secret team formation that will win through an unusual approach.
