personally I always had a big soft spot for Hunter back when we called it Night Warriors on the saturn. Was actually the game I got the system for.

Almost no one plays hunter, its a much slower, simple and casual game than Savior.

Savior is unanimously agreed to be the better and more complex game, if you actually played the game you would know this.

A simple look on Fightcade or SRK/Dustloop forums will confirm what i said.

Biggest Hunter tournament in 2014 had 110 entrants. Biggest Savior tournament in 2014 had 130 entrants. Not that big a gap.

but why did Raptor and Hsien Ko get their names changed for the US? I don't see how Zarock would be an issue and Hsien Ko is hardly less chinesy than Lei Lei

Yeah I remember those too as soon as I hit post. Just seems weird. I understand the whole SF2 naming fiasco and even why they'd want to rebrand it as Darkstalkers over the fairly generic Vampire name but as for the names just seem weird

For at least the first game's cast of 12, the names all first came from Capcom USA. The ones that are different in Japan were changed from those because the Japaese devs thought a few of them would sound weird to Japanese audiences. So that explains Raptor/Zabel, Rikuo/Aulbath, Talbain/Gallon and Huitzil/Phobos. Not sure about Hsien-Ko/Lei-Lei and B.B. Hod/Bulleta because I don't have direct statements about them, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same situation.
