I have now bought a GP2X.

I can emulate SNES, Genesis, Gameboy classic to Advance and Master System + Game Gear. It is backlit, has comfy buttons (love the D-Pad) and if I take a 20 pack of Batteries with me I can use it for a week nonstop!

How do you play your childhood memorys on the go, VR?

I loved Ecco... and with a PSP you can play PSX and PSP games, too. Nice. Whats the Battery life? how many hours can you play in one sitting? are there stronger battery available to maximise that?

I don't, I rather play games I didn't play before. Got a 10" convertible notebook for mobility.

I usually play on the train, for a couple of hours coming and going and sometimes it goes from 4 battery bars to 3, but often not and I just charge it at night. Haven't really had to think about charging since the Monster Hunter days with the thing.

The ability to play PSX games is one of the things that makes it truly awesome in my opinion. I always have pretty full roms sets for GB/C/A, NES, SNES, Genesis etc and then a couple of PSX games I rotate through is awesome.

Ever since I bought my bike I play less games, it's certainly nice to be able to get to work in 30 minutes instead of 1 hour and a half but I basically only play my handhelds on the shitter and before going to bed.
PSP 3000 is my choice though, I even put some old anime on it to relive those 2007 memories of watching shitty res cartoons on it.
And it can emulate SEGA CD well enough to play Snatcher on the thing, it's great.
