All CIB (Mario 64 missing manuals) for .99 cents each at goodwill.

I still have the shakes from the excitement.

>> No.3392456

Sounds like complete bullshit especially since goodwill ships all their games to their online auction. Also, no goodwill price tags on any of those boxes

Tl;dr

You're full of shit.

The only CIB N64 game I ever found at Goodwill was Tony Hawk 1. My best score was Brave Fencer Musashi, Legend of Legaia, Parasite Eve, Bushido Blade 2, Soul Blade, Front Mission 3, and Twisted Metal 2&3 all complete for 50 cents each.

I find older stuff sometimes too, best I ever got was Clayfighter Sculptors Cut, Mega Man 3 and Mega Man 4

Yeah unfortunately a good chunk of the stores now look them up and don't charge a set price for games anymore. Sometimes they are retarded and put shit like rockband and random crap in the showcase cabinets and leave the good stuff in the bins. You can still get deals sometimes even when they do charge more than they used to, it all depends who looks them up and prices them that day

I was maybe a little young for the turbografix (born in 88) and grew up in a small town, but I never knew a single person that had one growing up. If Macaulay Culkin hadn't name-dropped it in an interview one time, I probably wouldn't have even known it existed in the pre-internet days

From then on, I made sure to check out that store every day myself. Never saw any deal as good as a $10 Vectrex, but did find a few good deals, like a beatmania IIDX controller for $5.

This anon here, these two posts inspired me to go to a thrift store >>3393859 >>3393887 but I ended up being lazy and just going to Talize (goodwill/value village rip off) and found these two. Got them both for $10 Canadian ($8 American) and sadly there was no a/v cable that came with either of them, but there was a power cable to power both of them and I am happy to say that they both have passed the first test of powering on Now I just have to hope they can actually run discs

>> No.3395031

Its a pretty similar situation here in the UK (at least, on face value).
The trick is to ask if they have anymore games out back.
More often than not they'll let you go out back with them and look through all the untouched stuff.
I found 3 LOTR lego sets, one sealed wii u game, abes oddysee and football manager 2016 in the past 3 days. Every item was £1 each.

Charity shops do get good stuff from time to time, not often, but it certainly happens.
The problem is it rarely reaches the shop floor (because of people like me).
I don't tend to buy from BHF or Oxfam however, since they go by amazon prices.
I believe you 100% btw OP, i've gotten plenty of similar hauls from bootsales and charity shops in the last few years.
But you need to be ultra persistant, and learn what days they get their deliveries in.
Befriending the managers helps enormously, a few shops actually have my number nowadays.

TLDR: well done OP
