I just currently set up my nintendo here in my room with this magnavox i found on the side of the road a few weeks ago with a free sign on top of it. its in PERFECT condition and even has the original remote with it. I have a bunch of nes games in that drawer below. I plan on moving my sega genesis, N64, and ps2 out here after i build a cabinet for it.

Is this a troll thread? That is the shittiest gaming station I have ever seen on here. It's even worse than the faggots who have cords going everywhere.

That stand is way too small for that television. Shit looks like a safety hazard. I could see myself having a couple beers one night and bumping into it, sending NES games and the television crashing to the ground.

I spit on this topic.

The room is 8x10, and I have a few thoughts about what I'd do. I don't plan on displaying my games so much, I'm probably going to build shelves inside the closet for games and odd hardware that doesn't see much use(like the dreamcast keyboard or my nes controller that looks like a flight stick), but I want the console to be out and hooked up.

Most of these cards don't actually have s-video, but a proprietary port. That usually needs an adapter that turns the port into composite, svideo, or component.

>>3373371
You can get an older ati branded card and use a custom driver/CCC emudriver installed to output 240p/480i (the tv port on gpus usually only does 480i/480p). You can then use the dvi-i/vga port on your card to your tv via vga to component trans-coder. Without the custom emudriver you can't do 240p through dvi/vga.

To dumb it down. ATI card > dvi-/vga > vga transcoder box > composite/svideo/component on your tv.

Ok, I just found one ATI 6450 on a local store. I'll see if I can find enough spare parts around to build a separate PC with this.

So far, my "PC on CRT TV" solution has been a 2006 laptop (integrated Intel graphics card), together with a VGA to S-Video converter I got around the same year, USB powered. It works, but I'm not able to output anything below 800x600 with its default settings (and I'm not even sure if it's the converter or the videocards limit).
I know it's a longshot, but I must ask... is there any custom driver I can use with an intel internal chipset to output at lower resolutions?

Probably mainly because I used cheap cameras. Now if I were to do it again I'd go back to going on location and just wear a hat with my Evo 3D attached to it to get that emerging VR POV market. Speaking of watching porn on your CRT, I just recently fell into this huge box of vintage VHS porn mostly cheap mail club shit with no slip cases and typewritten labels but the duplication is good quality. About the 500, better get an new old stock accelerator with an CF card slot and WHDLoad on it, on a 500 you also need CHIP RAM expansion for most of the games anyways, so it's even better to just get an smaller 600 and a CF card with every single OCS/ECS game in WHDLoad on it.

Does not matter if it's PAL or NTSC, depending on the model, the actual different usually was just the RF analog converter.
Specially if you use the Amiga video port with RGB. Only the 500 used different standards in it's mono out.

Compatible monitors are hard to find, even if they were actually just RGB monitors, they need to be able to sync 15Hz.
A more modern CRT with a scandoubler is way better idea.

I have a cable that connects to monitor port and the RCA jacks, and converts it to SCART. Most TVs can sync to the odd scan rate. There's still scandoublers being made for modern monitors though.

>> No.3391960

>>3391768
>RF analog converter
Oh, by the way, the Amiga 1200 has built-in RCA jacks, and I think there's converters to do that for the older models in case you can't use SCART. There's no reason to use RF unless you have a really old TV since you'll just have to fuck around with channels if you do.

>> No.3391965

>>3391956
Yes, almost all TV's can sync to 15Hz but only very recent LCD TV's can flickerfix internally, good for games but can't use high res modes without flicker.

>>3391960
All Amigas except 3000 and 4000 have composite output, but only 1000 and 500 have it hardware PAL or NTSC, while the others can choose in software, the 1200 also has (like all Amigas) the Amiga Video port (RGB) what gives a much better picture than composite.

guys i need your help. I have several BVMs, PVM and other monitors that i want to set up as individual battle stations. None of these monitors as internal speakers. I want speakers for every station ... that means i need 5-6 pairs of active speakers. I know, hearing all of them simultaneously seems like a really bad idea but i'm kinda hoping it will give me some arcade flair. Trouble is, i don't have much room so i have to place the speakers either on top of the CRTs or directly beside them. That means i need speakers with really good magnetic shielding. I bought a set of edifier 980T today. The sound is good for the price, could be worse ... but my CRTs are still reacting heavily to the magnets! They're discolouring at the postition where i place the speakers. If affects all my monitors.
Can you recommend any speakers with really decent shielding where this doesn't happen? Does anybody have a similar setup with lots of external audio? Go!

Went to college for graphic design, have been doing that the last 3 years to pay bills.

All that stuff in the pic though is mostly related to sound design. I've been doing it freelance / as a hobby ever since I graduated. But Minnesota has very few legit game devs. or media companies.
