What retro games have the best lore?
I've been interested in it lately since I've been obsessed about Zelda and I want another franchise that gives me a lore/mythology boner.

Warcraft. Even when you ignore WoW and concentrate just on WC 1 through 3, there's still lots of novels to back up the game lore. A couple of them are actually damn good too, like The Last Guardian by Jeff Grubb.

Neither is RCT2 and e-celebs, but there's generals for both, so relax.

Fantasy zone and space harrier are pretty satisfying in terms of lore.
