It's a bit easier, but mainly because the frame-rate is fucking stable and the AI isn't fucked up.

>> No.3319407

GnG is easily the hardest game I've ever beaten. Overall, it's not very good, or at least the NES port isn't. There are good hard games, like Mario 2 Japan or Silver Surfer, but this is hard to the point of boredom and frustration. It doesn't help that the NES port has really stiff controls and physics It really isn't worth finishing.

I'd recommend a better game instead, but if you really want to finish it, at least play the arcade port.

You hipster kids I sewar. They are vastly different experiences, each worth playing.

And fuck no the arcade version is way easier. Maybe you guys should actually try playing some games, though I doubt you have the requisite skills to play the games you're always talking about without cheating your asses off.

Personally hadn't played it since I got stuck on the last level in the beginning. Here's the thing tho: it's much more easy than SMB even, since it has continues.

It's so different it's practically a different game. You can't really translate your detailed skill and knowledge of one game to the other, you really have to learn both games to beat them.

So I like the NES game as a separate game from the arcade version.

>> No.3320563

The NES version isn't worth playing at all. I've beaten both versions multiple times and every time the NES version just pisses me off with how poorly coded it is. It's just a mess really.

Arcade version is superior.

So /vr/, which is harder:

Ghosts'n'Goblins or Ninja Gaiden?

My vote goes to GNG

How can someone suck so much to the point of failing even with the use of savestates? This game isn't even that hard after some trial and error.

NG is actually pretty darned easy up until the last stage so yeah, GNG is the obvious winner.

I've beaten Ninja Gaiden and I'm not even good at action games. It's just trial and error.

Not only can I not beat GnG, not only can I not beat it with save states, I can't even beat it with rewind. I can get to stage 5 but I always get into a situation where the timer runs out and then I can't get back far enough to have an actual chance at finishing the level.

Battletoads bitches!

>> No.3324207

I've beaten Ghost n Goblins on an NES two times in a row to get the real ending.

Ninja Gaiden and Battletoads are completely fucking impossible to me though.
