Jump-Attack (While going up): Kick
Jump-Attack (At top height): Slow jump with multiple attacks
Jump-Attack (While going down): Usual jump kick
Dash-Attack: Tackle
Dash-Jump: Roll
Dash-Jump-Attack: Slide

Then you have the different kinds of grab you can do depending on how close you are to the enemy. There's the stomp to the sides, the through towards the screen...

-Alien Vs. Predator CPS2 (As involved as TiT but with huge character variety)
-Battle Circuit (See above + expandable moveset)
-Dungeons & Dragons ToD & SoM (Unique movesets + inventory + spells, honestly a bit convoluted)
-Armored Warriors (Gee, seems like this was a thing for Capcom, add modifiable movesets by customizing your mech on the go for this!)

I think we can still keep adding I'm just not 100% sure what else counts. Also, I prefer all these games over TiT. I just don't like how floaty hit contact feels in the Turtles engine beat'em ups. reasons why i don't like avp that much

1) avp has the worst grab detection in the history of capcom beat'em ups. enemies literally cheat by having momentary invulnerability to grabs.
2)they also skip frames of animation to make their attacks come out faster (capcom started doing this faggot shit in their cps2 fighting games too when fighting against the cpu on higher difficulty)
3) lynn is cheesy as fuckwith her pistol and reload glitch. practically infinite ranged attack that is super-good PLUS amazing mobility and speed.. in a beat'em up?? that's just wrong.
4)dutch is probably the most pitiful big-guy/grappler character in beat'em up history and is badly designed and balanced. he's hurt further by the messed up grab mechanics

1) AvP was never about grabs, it's more about more options for melee at faster pace, and that's good because it changes a bit the typical FF/Cadillacs/WoF/Punisher formula.
2)This is annoying at first but you get used to that eventually, after a while it's quite easy to tell when an enemy is going to make a "special attack" with fewer frames.
3) You don't have to use the gun all the time, doing air throws is tons of fun with good damage. Even then you can just swap to any of the other three characters if you don't like her
4) Dutch is probably the weakest but he is still a perfectly playable character, also i do tons of damage with the "piledriver" on midbosses, it gives you a fairly good amount of invincibility for another grab.

I like Punisher but it's a lot more basic than pretty much any other Final Fight-ish game from Capcom, also Punnisher and Fury are way to samey.

1 and 4) They shouldn't have put in Dutch in the first place considering that his specialty is his power bomb. The only reason to play him is to do power bomb chains. They shouldn't have made him a grapple-focused guy. Putting in such a slow dude in a fast-paced game, what were they thinking.

What's really lame is that despite being the slowest character BY FAR, Capcom even gave him the worst attack hit boxes on everything. If you're gonna make a slow nigga, then at least give him some good reach. or make him do a shit-ton of damage, because he's out-damaged by everyone. He's just a badly designed character. Yeah, he's perfectly playable but he's still hot garbage compared to the rest.

Keep in mind though, that i'm HIGHLY biased because i love my grapplers in my beat'em ups.

Pile driver does riDICKulous damage (read up on the damage mechanics to understand why it does shit damage on enemies with less than half a life bar of health). 10 out of fucking 10 grappler.

Slide all over the place to make up for slow speed. Jumping elbow on a niggas skull then turn around and Atomic Drop a nigga in his ass bone for a full life bar of damage. Bear Punch for shit-ton of damage. Use jumping power bombs to position yourself for another immediate grab, so you can do another jumping power bomb to position yourself for another immediate grab, etc. Thunder Tackle glitch on Zamza to rape him in the bunghole. Jumping elbow on a nigga then while overlapped do your combo so that the third attack does like a million hits for a billion damage. 10 out of fucking 10 grappler.

Great fucking reach on his jaw punch. Ridiculous reach and crowd-clearing on his combo finisher. Dash tackle underneath projectiles and attacks to bust someone in the dick, then grab that nigga and then atomic bomb him in the dick bone. Atomic drop gives you like a full minute of invulnerability so that you can do another atomic drop, and another, and another, and another. Giant swing clears out the entire screen and you can even choose which direction to throw a nigga at. 10 out of fucking 10 grappler.

Takes less damage than the others, because that's how it SHOULD be for a big dude. Does more damage than the others because that's how it SHOULD be for a big dude. Shit ton of invulnerability after throws, letting you do Haggar-like gut punch chains. Slow speed is made up by a massive lariat to decapitate niggas. 10 out of fucking 10 grappler.

I like TMNT3 more than Turtles in Time. More stages, more enemies, more bosses, better music, and just a cooler theme/set of levels overall. I never liked TiT's goofy time travel stuff. The Super Shredder fight is easily better in TMNT3 than it is in TiT and the song rules.

Of course the moveset is WAY simpler and there is much less animation, so you might find it too repetitive and boring, but I love TMNT3.

While TiT (SNES) is my all time favorite, TMNT3 is really really close behind.
As you say, it doesn't have such a varied moveset, but the special attacks are satisfying as fuck. Being able to drill through a whole stage abusing your power while on your last health point while avoiding death is so fun. I don't think any other beat'em up/belt scroller/whatever has nailed the health-reducing super power thing as good as TMNT 3.

But MAN, I'm mindblowing by how FUCKING GOOD Hard Corps Uprising is. I still play it once in awhile with my brother, it's probably the only reason I have my PS3 hooked up nowdays.
I always liked Contra games, just never was a huge fan as a series... Having started with Contra III, the rest of them all felt like a huge downgrade. Including both "neo retro" sequels, Contra 4 and ReBirth... But Hard Corps Uprising introduces so many things that are just my type.
- Beautiful hires hand drawn sprites (even if the overly-anime artstyle is not my favorite)
- Really tight control. Having both a 'lock attack position while moving' and a 'lock movement while attacking' is so great.
- Weapon upgrading. Rewards for keeping your favorite weapon.
- Double jump, Run, Air Dash... being a Mega Man X fan, this single handedly sold the game to me.
- The action button, so much fun! Learning when it's safe to just run through, taking a chance at ricocheting bullets... so satisfying.
- Rising Mode... being able to progressively learn all the stages at my own pace led to an eventual 1-life-complete of Arcade Mode. All subsequent co-op runs on Arcade Mone have been a blast.
- Fun, over the top, and well varied stages and bosses! Holy fuck, the first time I did the jump to the helicopter at the end of the first stage was awesome. And after that, every stage has at least one "holy shit" awesome moment.

I love this game, to the point where I don't even mind if this was the last Contra games because it was so perfect for my taste. It's probably the only game of the last couple of generations to be on my personal GOAT games list.

Sprite animation and chiptune music, zero effort to figure out what made the original games work... not just to replicate it, but to keep improving upon it. You know, like a sequel should.
