Same here OP. There was something about switching between characters all the time that didn't sit well with me. Never managed to get over it as a kid. Curiously though, Lost Vikings is a game I liked it a lot back then. Not sure why Gemini never clicked with me.

Yup. Fucking love that game, and I've never rescued all the tribals in order to beat the final boss (who I hear is hard af). Haven't played it in a while though. I remember wasting way too much time on that hovercraft racing mini-game you can play on Mizar's Planet.

I thought that finding the tribals wasn't as bad as finding all the ship parts(without a guide).
But I still beat the game, I really enjoyed it.

I think the controls are pretty good, but you have to change the default scheme to "Expert" scheme on the option settings, default controls aren't good, too limited.

It does. You get into battle, draw your magic, run away from battle, junction your shit, and continue. You only have to fight bosses.
I don't know how you can pretend the game discourages you from leveling up, unless you didn't actually play it.

I made it Ultimecias Castle, saved, realized I was locked out of everything and got pissed and quit. I finally ended up beating it by just downloading a save with maxed out characters and powering through the castle.

Leveling up is more of a difficulty selection and it would be a casual move to just run away. But unless YOU didn't actually play it there's more to enemies than just killing them and draw their magic, you can turn them into cards which are then going to be used/refined, steal stuff from them and test various battle assets/limits.

It's not ADD to give up a frustrating piece of shit game. I don't have to waste my time on something I'm not liking. I've got other games to play. This isn't 1995 where I rented the game for a weekend so I just have to suck it up and keep playing.

Your game should be good all the way through, and you shouldn't get to blame your shit on "the player just has ADD! it's not our fault!"
