Ruby can be cheesed with dazers (it's not immune to Stop). As for Emerald, hero drinks, x4 cut, Doom of the Living, and Ungermax (High level limit breaks of Yuffie and Barret) are king. Since you have the Mime materia, link it to Counterattack on Barret, dose him up on hero drinks, use it once, and he will use Ungermax every time he's attacked as long as he doesn't do anything else.

Ruby is about keeping it locked down, Emerald is about DPS.

I don't even remember what it is, but the weapons aren't even necessarily that hard. There's just some trick to them. One will wipe your whole party at one point, so just make sure at least one person has auto-revive. And the other is something similar, I forget what cause it's been so long. But not hard.

On my first playthrough, at pic related, how contant are the plot text dumps? Other then those I'm liking it and it seems cool, Cloud is kinda angsty but I know je apparently has some fucked up back story so I'll wait and see before I judge him. Meeting Aeris's mom and seeing her made me sad seeing as what happens to Aeris.

The beginning of the game has quite a few of them. There's a really huge one a bit after you leave Midgar, but after that the plot text dumps slow down substantially, at least until the end of the disc.

A little dull to setup,but Emerald can be cheezed with all lucky sevens.

Go to a weak area and use Control, mini etc to get a character to xx77 HP. Then use potions and grenades to adjust the 100s column so that you're on, say 7677. A potion away from triggering the effect. Do it with two characters and you can deal a few thousand short of its total. At your levels you'll need to use HP Plus from the canyon to boost your health up there. Character three might want to have the Phoenix-FinalStrike combo, but basically it's two sets of Sevens then a limit break to close the deal. Then use the rewards to hit Ruby.

(HP plus/Magic plus in every other slot)
There you go. You can give everyone else mime too, but don't forget about Ruby weapon sucking people out of battle if there's more than one person alive.

I never really went out of my way to grind throughout the playthrough. For the most part, the only battles I fought were those I fought along the way toward whatever objective I was aiming to complete, both in story-mandated events and optional quests.

Emerald? Just have 1 person with this setup:

Final Attack - Pheonix
MP Absorb - Pheonix
Then spam counter-attacks on everyone else. You can literally walk out of the room and win.

One of the common strategies to beat Emerald Weapon is to get everyone to 9999 HP with 2 materia and spam healing items until Air Tam Storm happens then it puts everyone in Lucky 7's and you pretty much kill him instantly.

Reminder that Emerald is weak to Gravity. Demi 3 linked with absorb mp, then another linked with HP and final attack-phoenix mastered will carry you through the fight.

I wish to play FF VI on my phone. Lucky patcher has failed to properly remove the license verification on the pirated apk I have. Is there a way around this? I'm not paying $14 for a game that came out 20~ years ago.
