So, I rented this game for the NES a long ass time ago, and I recall it being pretty good. You rode a speeder through a level like the Endor thing in Star Wars, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Star Wars game.

Any more info? Where it was taking place - snow, mountains, forest, city?
I'm assuming by "you ride a speeder" you mean something like this 3rd person perspective where you stare at the back of you vehicle and road moves underneath it with simple perspective?

If so, you saw action from the camera above the whole thing looking top down, or was action seen from the side?

Hmm. Battletoads? Though it wasn't very much like Endor.

Do you remember anything you could do in the game? Like, could you jump, could you shoot, stuff like that? Was it just a racing game where to goal was to dodge obstacles or you could stop at any time?

Also by "grid" you mean that it was like, clearly obvious that game world was comprised of gird of blocks, like in Mario?
