On this board we discuss about retro games, so it's obvious that the historical part of gaming comes out every now and then, and if someone states something wrong as if it was a very well known historical fact just to bring grist to their mill, they'll be corrected.

The GG may have had technical superiority over the Gameboy, but it chewed through batteries like a mofo, and Nintendo was just beginning to loosen its grip on third party developers when it was released. The Gameboy was a better value for consumers because it sold at a lower price, it had excellent battery life, and it had a better overall library.

Also, not everyone's going to agree with this, but the GB sound chip > SMS sound chip, and Tetris > Columns.
