I discovered VINTAGE TV shader for RetroArch cores from solid12345 and is very interesting but its still little to over blooming with white... is ther is similar shader but more similar to what you would get in well calibrated tv? (but still with ntsc color correction and not pixel perfect with scanlines)

Yeah, I'd call Vintage "interesting". I think the basis of it could be used for another shader.

>CRT shader
>NTSC bluring
>additional blur to hide the lines

But vintage has too much blur, too much bloom and such.

Looked up that shader on the libretro forums. Someone posted vids of this guy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFP2hiRG62U

It seems to be a variation of it, but much better. Sadly the guy didn't post what his settings is. It's using CRT Royale, instead of CRT Lottes, and it has 12 passes.

Bug the guy to post settings and he might. He might even be the solid guy.

>> No.3028998

Wait what. People actually use this shader? I always assumed the shader itself was a joke. That shit is unusable, it just looks like a blurry magazine photograph of a leaked game

It's still non-integer. Note that SNES has rectangular pixels so you probably want to prescale by integer nearest and then resample to correct aspect ratio.

This looks like a nice old TV. Too nice for those knobs which say RF only not sure what's going on here? Is this a photo of a thin-bezel hd monitor and the knobs are actually a frame on the filter? If so that's really cool.

It's called an overlay. People add shit so that the edges of the screen aren't black. I don't care for them personally, but whatever.

I think this is the exact kind of TV my parents let me keep in my room to play games on.

The game is way too clear. It needs more static lines and ghosting from the tv antenna.

I know people say this as a joke but really, if someone builds even a basic version of that, it would blow up on social media.

any good OpenEmu shaders?
(yes, i know you can drop in most shaders anyway, but i'd like particular recommendations that are pre-confirmd to work because the way i've got emulators set up makes it tedious to transfer files back-and-forth between my main PC and the mac running openemu.)

It's Sonic The Hedgehog for the SEGA Mega Drive.

It came out in 1991 and enjoyed some mild success until the World Health Organisation started recommending it to treat mild cases of Asperger's Syndrome. Unfortunately back then they didn't know that Asperger's was actually just the lower end of the Autism spectrum, so they were reporting that the treatment was a success since the Asperger's symptoms were subsiding. Little did they know that they the loss of symptoms was actually evolving into full blown Autism.

Upon realizing their mistake they tried to quarantine the patients in the Sonic Passion forums so they could socialize with one another hoping that the symptoms would subside, but it got out of control and it only worsened. The whole thing was covered up and we don't know what happened to those kids. It was dark times in the human history.
