The Vekoma/Arrow collab continues.

Also, the link to the collab doc isn't in the OP, but any time I try to post it, 4chan flags the post as spam. For now, people can find it through the pastebin: http://pastebin.com/zcjSWDuj

I guess it was the link to the collab doc that meant we needed the pastebin in the first place.

Yeah, if the coaster mechanics look solid then I'll probably prepurchase it. Based on their footage it looks node-based which is pretty hard to fuck up in terms of construction, but the mechanics themselves seem to differ wildly from game to game.
Since it's pretty integral to the game I'm betting they'll have a dev diary about it rather than delegating it to just a timelapse. It'd be nice to see some stuff regarding physics and how guests will view a ride -- whether it uses E/I/N, or something simpler/more advanced.

Their latest video showed it a bit. It seems to be like Sim Theme park where supports are on a grid but you can freely move the supports/track just about anyway you want.

But then again it was just the tiny bits of a video that wasn't about tack building. However RCTW is still getting BTFO with all the PC videos.

On another note, Theme Parkitect is shaping up good and looking really promissing. People have already made mods for the game that include coaster cam and FPS peep camera.

It's a bug that somehow occur when a train get to the enter station state but don't get to the end of the station. It will (probably) keep going at station speed until it reach the end of the station, the end of track or most likely something else that alter its state. It's quite easy to recreate with some coasters, I do have some screenshots with other examples I could post tomorrow.

I don't know what else I can really do except list all of the custom objects in the park and pick them out individually. If this fails I might just edit the park to have no custom scenery (There is road and car park scenery, and a few custom non-coasters)

>>2893000
Something I think all new players should know is that ride prices scale with their ratings. For 95% of rides, their excitement rating (rounded down to the nearest tenth (7.77 would become $7.70c), lower it by 10c if that doesn't work) is the limit you can set ticket prices at before guests don't want to pay.

The other 5% is made up of certain thrill rides and Splash Boats. The extreme flat rides such as Enterprises, Launched Freefalls and Top Spin scale their maximum price by their intensity rating. Go karts and motion sims you can pretty much charge near double their excitement for.

Splash Boats are just plain broken. They have a crazy amount of riders per hour because you can stack a shitload of boats on a single track, make every boat only wait 2 seconds in the station, and keep a steady flow of riders coming. It is also extremely easy to make a really exciting plash boat ride (You can just make the sort of single drop thing you see irl), so you can charge a crapload for them too.

This is an old site which should really be in the OP. On the left is a section of links under the "Articles" header, they are all extremely helpful for a new player such as yourself. Especially the block brake and pathing system guides.

You really should also download the RCT1 recreations from the OP. RCT1 had excellent scenario design and crappage did an amazing job of bringing that to RCT2. Don't bother with the /v/ pack for now, most of the parks are either nigh impossible or meant to be dank meme inducers (there is some great stuff in there too but sorting out the shit is annoying).

>> No.2894015

>>2893000
>>2893060
>>2893992
Don't bother with the link for the UCES in the OP either. While it is full of great custom content (it was made in the era where custom objects were first being made mainstream, some things may not quite fit RCT's art style because of that), as a new player I'd avoid it, simply because the flood of such a large amount of custom rides and scenery will be hard to work with and confusing. You can go for it at any time though, just keep in mind that there is a shitload of new stuff.

You should also know that OpenRCT2 exists(https://openrct2.com/)), and has done some amazing things so far, including adding a (currently very buggy, but playable) multiplayer mode. https://openrct2.com/features

Have fun Anon, and remember to bank those turns.

>>2893109
It works perfectly fine. Heartline cars have a full set of animations for turning and going through loops. On the inverted sections the car is actually below the track too, with the ring on the car in just the right spot to make it look like it could actually work.

Leafy Lake at the time of completion. Everything except the woodie was done in multiplayer

PSA: The latest OpenRCT dev build added new features to the scenario selector (which can be turned off). There are now separate tabs for RCT1, AA/CF, LL, RCT2 (and I'm assuming for the expansions but I removed all the expansion crap myself), real parks and other parks.

Within each tab scenario's are sorted by difficulty and you now unlock scenario's in each main game tab like in RCT1. In the Other parks tab, there is a category for official dlc parks like gameplay magazine and panda world, and for the build your own x scenarios. There are categories for easy/challenging/expert in the other parks tab, custom scenarios come under this. At the bottom of the tab is a category for the old other parks tab.

The Supported RCT1 scenario's are the ones from the link in the OP, so make sure you have Crappage's version if they are not showing up in the right place.

I lost that really cool dusty greens save I posted a while back with the forest section and water section because I am a fucking retard and replaced it with an old file when organizing my shit, also lost a lot of work on my forest frontiers park. rip in piss muh niggas ;_;7

Bumbly Beach at the time of completion. The most absolute bullshit happened about 3 weeks before the scenario ended - The launched mini coaster had a safety cut-out while one of the trains was going along the launched line, causing it to not go fast enough to make it up the first hill. It crashed, park rating plummeted and there was absolutely nothing I could do to bring it back up in time, despite it steadily rising back to the 800 range. so I used a cheat to force the park rating to 999 on october 31st, then turned it off after I won the scenario

If you make that a half-loop with the dangly-legs rollercoaster it's actually a really profitable ride.

Good start. It has a compact comfy feel. The queue line tv monitors work well but look kind of ugly when you have a bunch all together, so maybe make some covered path sections to break it up. Maybe put a few more bushes and trees on the empty grass. The coaster and go karts look fun going in and out of the cliff
