What are some of /vr/'s favorite first-person games? I'm generally talking about shooters, RPGs, adventure games, etc. Not something like first-person racing.

>> No.2883920

Stonekeep (PC)

>> No.2884143

RE Survivor was fun and fairly spooky in its atmosphere, I liked it a lot.

On playstation? MOH and MOH Underground, for sure.

If we're talking classics, It's Quake II.
If we're talking modern, It's probably TF2 or something idk.

What are some good real time dungeon crawlers that work well with KB+M?

Are there any lesser known 3D first person games from the 95-98 era worth playing? I know of Sin and Shogo.

I have a boner for PS1 first person games. I just love how the graphics look and I don't know why.
Games like RE Survivor, Echo Night, ...Iru!, etc Echo Night 2 is probably the most beautiful of the bunch.

Dungeon Master 1/2

Pretty easy to set up WASDQE controls with DOSBox's keymapper, or you can just use the numpad like you would've back in the day.

Mah /vr/ troopah!

Survivor fucking rocked.
>Raccoon City from 1st person perspective
>a slow paced mixture of FPS/House of the Dead

On pic related, King's Field coming through. One of the top games ever hands down.

Pathways into Darkness. Seriously unique game of the sort that could never be made nowadays.

Marathon series & Dark Forces, top tier Doom clones.

Descent. This is such a great game it simultaneously created and killed its entire genre, because there was fuck all else to do with the idea. Loads of awesome weapons, great assortment of enemies, huge twisting maps to zip through, bitching tunes, and probably the most savage difficulty curve of any FPS. No other 6DOF shooter ever made comes even close to this.

Quake. Great great game, still has life in its modding community today.

Anvil of Dawn. When I think of old school dungeon crawlers, I think of this game.

King's Field series beyond doubt. Great stuff, probably my first introduction to the idea of an ARPG.

I don't know what kind of black magic Rare used to fit so much content on a N64 cart but I wish more people had access to it.

Also The Note on PS1 in that style I enjoyed it a lot. There are a couple of tough puzzles when you get that rope... check a FAQ to know where you have to use it otherwise you'd never know! but otherwise it's solid.
The main character is voiced by the same VA as Chris in Resident Evil so there is that too.
