I haven't played RCT in a while and I forget, what prices should you set for gentle/thrill rides and rollcoasters again? I used to have a system for it but I've forgotten.

>> No.2840954

>>2840936
For every single ride in the game guests will pay up to the excitement rating of the ride. For example, a 2.3 excitement gentle ride will go for a max of $2.30 a ticket, though it is usually best to make the price 10c less than the excitement rating, as sometimes guests will complain.

Launched freefalls scale the maximum ride price to their intensity. Popular thrill rides such as go karts and motion sims can be jewed for almost double their excitement (to a certain limit) until their popularity fades

Anon who made the original OP with the links, the collab sheet, etc., here: I agree. I don't think it's a good idea.

Look at all the other general threads: the DOOM one and all the others on /vg/. They all copy-pasta the same info, with little tweaks and updates here and there, on 1-3 posts. That's how generals work and I just copied the same proven idea.

I mean, I don't blame you for trying to improve/update the OP: keeping generals can be a tough job. Actually, I'm grateful you and all the other anons kept alive /vr/ct generals.

- http://vrct.tumblr.com/ is now http://galax.moe/rct/

And what happened to "Fossil's Dig Site"? It has great articles/tips.

There used to be a counter for the number of threads made, e.g. "/vr/ct - RollerCoaster Tycoon - #xx". I thought it was a nice concept; I know it's optional.

I can't see anything with all these trees in the way holy shit.

The uniqueness of the water feature ponds is astounding too. It's like they're all the same. Oh wait, they are.

The queue line for the dodgems is too short. It needs to be at least 20 times longer so everyone can spend at least two birthdays waiting to ride it.

I did mention that the empty space was going to be dedicated to either thrill rides (which weren't in the scenario) or a wooden rollercoaster. If you want I can upload an update. In the meantime, have my best Wooden coaster to rip and tear into:http://imgur.com/a/PJkoM

I was going for a sense of uniformness with the water features, and there was only one actual water feature in the park scenery list, but I'll improve those if you really want.

Anon, add some foliage and send it to the OpenRCT team, eventually they want to make ORCT entirely independent from the base game, so they can legally distribute the whole thing like OpenTTD.

They'll need new sounds, graphics, and scenarios. This landscape is absolutely amazing compared to most of the crap you see today, and I could really see it fitting into the based RCT1/LL scenario tier.

This always, always happens to me, no matter how far I spread things out. Once I get above 3k-4k visitors it's completely out of control. People flock INSTANTLY to any new ride, and just creating a ride leads to a shortage of toilets, food, seats, and bins in the area. Everyone walks around the block, alternating between trying for the ride entrance, and needing to shit their pants.

Is there something I'm missing on combating crowded peeps, or is this because of the partially implemented peep AI in OpenRCT2.

Advice on this Coaster? I want to get the excitement to be higher than the intensity and I'm stuck. I've tried using the articulated trains and it put it at

~ E:7.21
~ I:7.56

I've tried place a few sections underground, having a final hill on the last bit and a water splash to no avail.

Game: RCT2

Can't help you out there, but I have never seen anything like that garden section.

I think it's a good attempt, but the whole park is lacking scenery or some sort of 'filling'. Looks a bit like a factory worker in an industrial town started a garden around his house.

It isn't like I'm finished! I just started D: I'm planning on a lot of very grid-like flower/tree scenery with some random assortments of mechanical, wild west, mining and classical objects.

If you make it more compact the excitement will increase because the track is interacting with itself more

>>2871959
I like it and I think it'll look much nicer when more trees are built around it because as it is now it sticks out against the green grass everywhere

WOAH that's pretty neat man.

We did it. Barely. Kind of disappointed that it covers up my little garden thingy... I'll try to figure something out.

Thanks guys

Adjacent rides and scenery greatly improve excitement. I've had rides go from 7.05 to over 9 with scenery and rides alone

I know that :^)

Anyone know of a good multiplayer server?

Maybe dig 20ft down and build it partially into the ground so you can see the garden?

I ended up building it straight where that curve overlaps. It actually lowered excitement to 7.68 but also lowered the intensity to 7.54 or somewhere in that ball park.

Unfortunately, It kind of ruined the original aesthetic of the coaster in my opinion...

Is it possible to add or replace custom looped songs for ride music?

I've gotten bored using the default ones.

Max two tracks, requires transcoding to weird format. See ..\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2\Data\CUSTOM.txt

Rsk's Server's go carts finally ended.

>19.82 Excitement
>40.72 Intensity
>756 minutes
>19,848 feet of track, taken 255 times
>4 people still on the ride

This is 5 laps.

6 puts the intensity at 10.6 and 7 laps at 11.2.
