Was there any other retro game as varied as this? it had platforming stages, exploration stages, racing stages, first person stages, stealth stages, escort stages, runner stages, flying stages and what not

All it needed was a shump stage

Adventures of Bayou Billy was quite possibly the most varied game on the NES, with beat-em-up, racer, and 1st person zapper stages.

Wurm: Journey to the Center of the Earth has platforming stages, shmup stages and first person boss fights. It actually works rather well.

I heard Mr.Bones had a ton of variety but I'm not gonna pay for a game that rose up in price over a lame meme.

This, watched a friend play it. Didn't seem very hard though.

Mr. Bones does rival a game like this since it did have just about as much variety, plus Rhythm Action stages. And comedian stages.

I happen to own it, given to me by a friend some 10 years ago or so. It's an interesting game, I'll give it that.
