These are the only games I can say are objectively good, with no "but..."s

That said Tempest 2000 is fucking awesome and Doom was the best console port until the PS1 version. Wolf 3D is the improved fullscreen higher color depth, higher res texture/sprite Macintosh version with extra weapons.

Attack of the Mutant Penguins is actually a good game but I can't recommend it because of the learning curve. By the time I understood it well enough that I enjoyed it, the frustration of figuring it out had ruined it for me.

I kinda wanna get a jaguar but ever since I bought tempest 2000 for my Saturn I don't really see the point. The only other games I'm interested in for it are syndicate, wolfenstein and maybe cannon fodder and rayman. The games just aren't really good enough to justify the high prices most of the time. I wouldn't mind playing some of the "so bad they're good" games like fight for life or kasumi ninja though.

I wish it wasn't such a bitch to program for, more homebrews would be nice since the jaguar has real potential to give the Saturn a run for its money when it comes to impressive 2D games.

The port of Doom was actually quite good, even though it lacked music.
Put on some fitting music in the background and you're set to go (GBA Doom had a pretty good rendition of the soundtrack).

Then there's the Penguin game, AvP, Tempest 2000, etc.
Avoid the CD unit though, they were badly designed and the CD rotor engine was prone to breaking from use, getting it to work is a chore and there really aren't any games worth checking out on it.

The music was ass, and it lacked a lot of levels (Ep3 mainly), and no Spidermastermind or Cyberdemon, but aside fron that, it's actually WAY better than the SNES one, better resolution, better gamespeed, no lag, better controls.

T2K is by far the best game. You can even hack together a paddle controller and it'll work with it.
I've heard Rayman has better color on the Jag than the PS.
