My all time favorite pair of games are Clock Tower: The First Fear for the SuperFamicom and Clock Tower on Playstation. They're not spooky, they're legit bonkers fucking scary.

The only thing I don't like about them is that I've beaten both of them so many times they don't scare me any more, but there was a time I had to sleep with the light on and make sure I could see behind every door in any room I entered after sunset.

Multiple paths, multiple endings, deep story, and lots of action. Plus a likable heroine (I used to want to be her).

IDK if posting links to ROMs is OK on this board, if so let me know and I'll gladly do the work of setting you up with the English version of the SFC game and a working link to the PS game.

IMO, Clock Tower: Ghost Head and Clock Tower 3 for PS2 are shit.

It's unsettling for sure. Unfortunately it was one of Acclaim's titles, meaning it was mediocre, but passable if you had nothing better or new to play. Definitely fits the halloween niche.

The game's creepy because everything feels slightly "off". It's weird, on the surface, they intentionally wanted a Looney Toons game with a spooky theme to it. But unintentionally, they just made everything look just slightly weird and jarring.

It all goes just a bit over what one would expect for a silly Looney Toons game starring Porky Pig. I beat it alone as a kid, and then in front of friends in my 20's, and none of us knew just what the fuck we'd just played.
