Any good SNES games to suggest aside from the main Mario/Zelda/DKC? Looking to expand my library.

And break the bank.

If you want to play all the best games the system has to offer, then you should just invest in a Super Famicom.

Buying another console may seem like a big purchase, but the games are so much cheaper that it will balance out after buying like 2 games.

You can also use all of the same cables/controllers except for the ac adapter.

You honestly may as well just get a flash cart at this point.

Getting the "must haves"

That's okay. I have a job and I'm actually going to be playing these games instead of just hoarding them, so it won't be a problem.

People whine when they catch wind of others using "Best ____ Games of All Time" lists, and other people whine when threads are started to get people's personal lists.

Personally I prefer the active discussion that the latter option leads to, but you can't please everyone.

I just picked this up and am enjoying it so far. The US version is kinda pricey though.

>> No.2738379

Why don't you just emulate on a laptop and throw it up on an old tv? The nostalgia factor?

You might as well do all this with a laptop and tape a picture of a snes on top of it, and when you load the rom you can push up on the piece of the paper that says "power." With a little imagination you just saved thousands of dollars.

>As we approach Vindictus' 5th anniversary, it's long since time to take a look back at the vast amounts of equipment warriors stumble across as they advance through the story. Most armor was separated by gender, excluding a few of our newer characters, or only for a specific characters as well.

>No more. We've gone through just about every piece of armor and reduced the restrictions across the board. Just about anyone will be able to put on the armor they find and take it into battle, although Hurk and Karok's massive frame will still prevent some equipment from being used. Several hundred items have been adjusted, making it far easier for those still leveling up to remain well equipped for the battles to come.

>Several hundred items
>Can't be bothered to list any examples
Full of shit/10

A kinda obscure, but pretty fun game that I had way back in the day (my dad might still have the cartridge), is Super Valis 4. Gorgeous game, amazing soundtrack, kinda difficult but not overtly so. Japanese only AFAIK, but still great.

Also, no Sunset Riders mention? I guessed that was one of those games pretty much every SNES owner had played at one point or another.

>> No.2739927

anybody not using a flash cart at this point is an idiot

Earthbound is my personal favorite, although it can get very pricey

>> No.2739943

If you use an accurate emulator like bsnes and use a genuine SNES controller with a usb adapter there's no huge downside to this. I've never had an issue with input lag.

However, some people just enjoy physical hardware and there's nothing wrong with that. I like collecting records even though digital music is more practical. It has nothing to do with nostalgia, it's just nice to feel it in your hands, look at the art and so on.

>> No.2739954

Anyone can suggest a game that you really got hooked on? So many games don't really "click" with me and I end up dropping them sooner or later. So far Chrono Trigger and Earthbound are the only SNES games I've gotten addicted to.

I tried Zombies Ate My Neighbors a little while ago and just found it too damn basic, by level 6 I didn't want to play anymore.

>Chrono Trgger and Earthboun
You seem to like JRPGs so I think the answer is obvious.

Seiken Densetsu 3 is one of my favorites. Also the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games, Secret of Mana, Lufia, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma.
