How about a thread of unexpected ports, demakes etc?

I bought this expecting it would be just like the Saturn version. I was sadly mistaken.

Each port was like a different goddamn game

For some reason, they put the best one on 3DO

The early Harry Potter games were completely different on each console.

I can't even imagine playing this without a mouse and keyboard.

It had a 3d mode unique to the PS1 Port. Looked great but ran like shit.

I wonder if the whole "fantasy console" thing will take off. I'd like to see new games for platforms that are deliberately limited but also designed to be easy to program for and emulate on whatever.

700 MHz CPU requirement looks too huge for a system with such capabilities. Also, that resolution. Only RCA Studio II has less.
I'm looking forward for the release of the SmileBasic for the 3DS, though.

Well, from what I've gathered, it does seem to run well on the RasPi, which is a slow system clock-for-clock even next to something like the Pentium III.

Too bad it's all closed source. It's funny to think that if it takes off someone will end up reverse engineering and emulating a "fantasy console".
