2725841 No.2725841 [Reply] [Original]

Can we have another one of these threads? It's been a while.

I was looking looking through one of the old threads and unfortunately, it seems like one of the games is lost: a French (though the game itself has an option for English) 90's pc game called Isabelle.

Here's a description from the old thread as well as the dead link.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/25yyuppqy9a1ad8/Isabelle.iso

"An irritating mother, a hypocritical girlfriend, a sadistic brother in law, brutal guards, a cop for a father in law: here are some of the people who live in the village of Crison. You really want to kick their asses, even your girlfriend's, Isabelle, but you have to save the village from More, who rules the place with his disgusting thugs.
"You can be both George, who is blind, or his younger brother Raymond, a little brat. If you are smart enough, you will use Raymond's qualities and subvert the village against More."

Does anybody still have it and could maybe reupload it? /r/ is just a porn board and it was only posted in a /vr/ thread. /r/ wouldn't have it anyway.

The link for Dr Brain IQ Adventure is also sadly dead.

That really fucking sucks. Like, we get rips here, but they just go away so quickly. They aren't really archived like they should. I just hope they are backed up and re uploaded.

It was really low resolution, couldn't have been from any later than the very early 90s, I'd guess it was either Polish, Czech or Hungarian, I think the game was mostly yellow or brown visually, and I remember there was some puzzle that involved opening a door.

Was it first person perspective?
Was there a party or character was solo?

It was a first person point and click game. No screen scrolling. I don't think it was ever localized in English. The HUD was in a foreign language, but it seemed like normal adventure game commands.

I swear to god, when my career as a writer kicks off and I get sheckels, I'll get a good FTP server exclusively to host obscure retro vidya.
Mark my words, /vr/. When that dude with the fantasy book called Walking Circles gets popular, expect a FTP to appear out of the aether.
You faggots have given me so much obscure trivia, senseless arguments at 6 AM, and cool games that I want to pay back some day.

>> No.2727875

Iron Seed. A game so obscure that I haven't anyone outside of a select few space Sim fans mention. Released in '94 and there isn't even a playthrough of it on YouTube. For some mysterious reason the developers came back and patched it in 2013 while also releasing the source code on Github and hosting their game files on a website they made for it, then again in August of this year their website just goes down. The source code for the music tracker was unable to be released, so with the website down if you want to play the game with music it looks like the only way to play is to go the abandonware route. The music is by the guy that did Unreal Tournament 1's soundtrack.

teenagent was a mid-90's adventure game, was made in poland, had a puzzle involving opening the doors and yellow/orange palette was dominant thorough the game, but it wasn't first person and was localized in english at some point. thought i'd mention that.

Oh, OP here.

I actually found Isabelle and that Dr. Brain game mentioned here o n Adventure Legends. They were listed as demos (probably for legal reasons) though they seem to be the full games. Though Adventure Legends has them in like 2 parts or some shit so I just reuploaded them to Mega with some other shit.
