>less fucking everything
>worse sound
>graphics look rougher
>enemies are dumbed down
>no Neon Night-Riders
>bosses are all exactly the same with their patterns

is there anybody who seriously considers this game as better than Turtles in Time? it looks and feels like a quick cash grab from Konami.

>> No.2717475

worse sound? the music is way better on hyperstone heist though.

If you really think that is better than this

NOTHING in HSH can touch this track, either:

Again, shitty bass compared to HSH:

Also, only the voices sound scratchy in HSH.
Musicwise:
Arcade > HSH > TMNT4 SNES

SNES Turtles:
-more levels
-more enemy types
-more level variation
-more bosses
-more of everything basically

Genesis Turtles:
-fewer levels but the levels are longer to the point of tediousness
-more animations
-smoother gameplay
-Run button that allows you to do more technical stuff

Both games are unexceptional but the SNES version is better.

I was born the year it came out.

I play the ARC version all the time at ground kontrol tho. You nerds fighting over inferior versions. HSH stands on it's own legs though, SNES is just trying to be the ARC as best as it can. Both just don't really work imo.

You must be blind, deaf, stupid or a combination of all 3 if you can't see that HSH is just a watered down port of TiT with worse everything. SNES port is actually better than the Arcade, except for the sprites and no 4 players.

Nigga, you just shat on ya'self. Playing the ARC version with 3 buds + beers is ten times better than either of these versions. I know this sounds like some "LOL I HAVE A LIFE" bullshit but beat'em ups bring out the best of the entire medium on a social level.

simpsons > TMNT

simpsons is god-tier when it comes to 4player beat em ups.

Team moves for every combination of 2 characters.

Has actual enemy hit stun for an early Konami game unlike TMNT 1 & 2 for the arcade, so you it feels like an actual beatemup and not a slapfest like TMNT.

has immense charm and top-notch presentations. Fun and easy to 1cc compared to TMNT arcade which requires a lot of chance due to the game mechanics.

When it comes to 4 player beatemups Simpsons reigns supreme, m8.

And I agree. TiT is a good game but it ain't in upper echelon. It's presentation on ARC is probably the best thing about it and if you were really into TMNT it must have felt fucking amazing.

I think we can all agree the Genesis having a dedicated run button was a good addition, but the mode 7 stuff in TiT makes it the better game.

>> No.2719905

>>2719898
>I think we can all agree

Nope, double tap to run is way better. Holding forward to run is shit-tier though and I do prefer the button over it.

>> No.2719909

>>2719892
To begin with, there is some more depth to then than just do heavy attack and dive jumps all the game to win. Ninja Baseball Batman especially has a lot of depth in the combat, it feels like a TMNT game done right.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trdh3_ebvvw

>> No.2719923

>>2719909
The Simpsons isn't about skill and depth though. It's a button masher, except it's a button masher done right in terms of game mechanics, unlike the TMNT arcade games.

Ninja Baseball Batman has a lot of slowdown in 4 players mode. Also Ninja Baseball Bat Man isn't a deep game.

>Green
Use his jump, up, down, jump attack on every single enemy in the game, followed by the tornado move. You don't need anything else.

>Yellow
jab, jab, jab, command throw on everything.

>Red and Blue
Just use their combos and play it safe.

Now what about the other games you listed? Are they deep?

What I'm saying is, if your definition of "polish" and what makes a good 4 player beat'em up is depth, then perhaps you're looking at it the wrong way.

>> No.2719927

>>2719910

How does it feel to be shitty at beat 'em ups? You rarely need to run, they reach you fast enough in TiT on hard.

>You rarely need to run

Yep, you're a casual. You don't need to run because the game is easy and you can hammer throw everything, but if you want to play with skill and efficiency then moves like the running dash kick are necessary

>> No.2719935

>>2719932
>you don't need to run because the game is easy

So because you can't get away with running away like a spaz all the time, the game is "easy"? Nice logic.

>> No.2719945

>>2719923
It's mainly the controls, i just don't like Konami's no-combo and no-throw no-multiplehit combat style, i find it overly simplistc. I much prefer Final Fight style combats/controls which feel more solid for me. But yeah i get your point, Simpsons is better than TMNT arcade and it works right at what it does.

Anyway, i prefer 2-3 players beat 'em ups over 4pl. Warriors of Fate, Final Fight, Cadillacs, thos are my stuff.

>> No.2719986

>>2719945
Oh okay, I see what you mean. Honestly, what I meant by "4 player beat'em ups" was Konami party-game-style beat'em ups that are known button mashers like TMNT, Simpsons, X-Men, etc. I wasn't even considering games like Ninja Baseball Batman or 4 player Capcom games because they didn't even occur to me at the time. I've been playing my Capcom games using the 2 player mode for so long that I even forgot that some of them are 4 player games - the same goes for Crime Fighters 2 which is a top-fucking-tier game. So I have to take back what I said originally about The Simpsons being god-tier, there are tons of better 4-player beat'em ups out there.

But in terms of casual party-game-style 4 player beat'em ups The Simpsons is just really well-made, and much more playable than TMNT.
