That game was AWESOME, OP.

I played it at a friend's house back in like 1993. Unfortunately, I totally forgot the name of it and couldn't figure it out for ages.

Thanks to the Internet, I learned the name 20 years later and played it again. Totally awesome, bro. Good memories.

Game in OPs pic looks like Kiwi Adventure or something like that, but on 16 bit system. Loved that game on the NES, is the sequel any good?

Liquid Kids is awesome, and the PCE port is fantastic.

New Zealand Story is harder. The PCE port is pretty crappy unfortunately, but the MD port changed the level layouts.

OP here.

Beat the game for the first time (arcade "New" version). The game finally clicked with me on the 4th world.

I think this is one of those games that is more fun the better you are at it, compared to most platformers that are more fun on your first playthrough when you have to experiment and explore. This game is all about execution.

But , just wanted to say that, if you stick with this game (New Zealand Story) it is extremely fun and well-made. Superb game.. I'm glad I stuck with it..

New Zealand was a Sega country during the 8 and 16 bit era.
The game itself is pretty rare, though.

The enemy in the bottom right on both sides wants no part in any of this bullshit.

LOved NZ Story, played it to bits on the C64, super nice conversion!! Music, catchy!

I thought I was the only human being to ever play it. I loved it, but it was balls hard and never got to beat it.

TNZS on PCE has bad controls. the game is just off, once you've played the arcade version.

I've got this very game in my box of childhood games at the back of my cupboard. Completely forgot about it. Surprisingly the master system port is suposed to be one of the best ones. This game and James Pond 2. Childhood feels.

iffy controls, bizarre re-colors, tinny music

also missing a bunch of enemies

good thing Liquid Kids PCE turned out great

>MD port changed the level layouts

MD port was based on the prototype of the arcade game.

I found out 2 days ago.
