/v/ didn't really help me out, so... were there any good pro wrestling games released before WCW/nWo World Tour? I've never really heard anyone talk about retro wrestling games before and if there are some good ones out there, I'd like to give them a try.

If you like breaking your controller because of button mashing, try WWF RAW or Royal Rumble on SNES.

There is also "Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game", a fighting game with digitized sprites made by Midway.

Or pretty much all Fire Pro Wrestling Games before G for PS1.

AJPW games are usually pretty good, so are the Fire pro games. WWF Wrestlefest is also pretty damn good.

Pro Wrestling, Tecmo World Wrestling and WWF WrestleMania Challenge are the only good ones for the NES that I've played. The SNES had Saturday Night Slam Masters, WWF WrestleMania the Arcade Game and Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium.
