i'm well aware that Alien and Prometheus are different movies with different stories.
however, they both occur in the same universe, literally said by the creators.

so even though prometheus and alien are not prequel/sequel, and the stories are different, it's the same universe, ergo they are related, wether you like it or not.

Yeah, they figured they'd get a license for Aliens, as it was up for grabs, but ultimately decided not to, as they wanted full creative freedom, their pitch then morphing into "Our favorite movies are Aliens and Evil Dead II, let's make a game which is like a mix of both!"

And then a rather short time after Doom's release, Justin Fisher releases it's first Total Conversion, which was based on Aliens.

Funny how things go, we basically got both.

Nah, I enjoyed CV2 the way it was. Played it in 1989, long before everyone watched those shitty youtube videos. Same with Zelda 2 (and Faxanadu a couple years later).

My friend and I beat these game without much trouble. We're no brainiacs either. So that means everyone else who complains about them is dumb as rocks.

Zelda 2 and Faxanadu, while inapprehensible at times, are nowhere near CV2's bullshit. I eventually beat Zelda 2 and Faxanadu but i never did beat CV2 as a kid.
