I just don't get the hate for Megaman 8. I really don't. Too easy? Maybe, but does that really warrant the vitriol it gets? I mean, this is the game with Tengu man. Let that sink in. Tengu man. How can you hate it?

Yeah, I think Mega Man 8 gets too much hate. I think the 4 then 4 system works better than the all 8 at once for Robot Masters, the graphics were incredible, the music was great and the gameplay featured a lot of nice stuff, like being able to use the buster while using another power.
As for difficulty, I think MM8 was fair. Wasn't too hard, but it wasn't too easy either. It kept you on your toes.

"Too easy" is just a lazy excuse used to imply NES superiority. From what I've noticed, all the PSX games get hate just because they're on the PSX. If 8 is too easy for you, then so is every other MM game that isn't MM&B, X6 or the Zero series. These games really aren't that hard.

Second most claustrophobic game I ever played. This shit had me hyperventilating as a kid. No other Metroid game captures that sheer terror to me.
