Well I'm pretty biased since I had a PAL Saturn as a kid and really loved it.

The thing I don't like about the Japanese one is that the sound is too loud and jarring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9Szuyq0GDc

The PAL one is pretty easy on the ears: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0W6wI20f0J4

But then again, I think I'm pretty biased on this issue. I'd still take a white Japanese Saturn any day over the black ones though.

I'm not really a big fan of any of the Mega CD's BIOS, but there's something about the American BIOS music that just fills me with some weird nostalgia, even though I never had a SEGA CD as a kid and I'm not even near America by any stretch of the imagination.

Mostly it's annoying when posters who are clearly young teenagers are fetishizing the early 1990s, the nostalgia isn't earned. Hearing "the 90s had the coolest aesthetics/I was born in the wrong decade" gets really silly for someone who lived through it. And vaporwave as a subgenre is pretty retarded (I slowed down this Sade song, muh aesthetics).

That said, my generation did the same shit with the 70s, loving on classic heavy metal records and old clothes and muscle cars -- that's where the whole hesher/hair metal scene came from. And I'm sure we annoyed the ever loving fuck out of people, too.

Carry on.

Said by every person in every generation since ever though, all generations had its problems (90's should be ashamed of shit like Spice Girls or Backstreet Boys).
