Finally found a recording of all the versions of this on youtube. I occasionally upload a track or two of games that don't have music there, but I'm way too lazy to make something like this.

While I disagree entirely with OP's comment about the Genesis soundchip being "less powerful" than anything. It is one of the best sounding FM chips on any home console or computer. What this does show is the entirely inferior on paper SNES trouncing both the Playstation and Saturn.

Since I've been replaying Langrisser 2 on my phone god jesus is the audio terrible from the shit emulator I decided to watch Urushihara Satoshi's anime the other day. Something like 40% of the 50 minute run time was tits. Good stuff.

Of course not. The SNES beats the genesis in everything in terms of specs except in processing speed. I do find the instrument samples of the SNES kinda empty though, or lacking personally. Maybe it was more so ambitious rather than amazing. Still impressive nonetheless.
