Anyone else here played this fantastic game?

I'm blown away by how something like this was released 15 years ago. I'm amazed by the artificial intelligence, by the mechanics in relationship with NPCs. The amount of freedom. How everyone is bound by the same mechanics and rules you are, the amount of mechanics, the setting and the lore which now I finally understand why there are so many novels about it.

Yes! The future is always together with this march!
And I am not alone, for I have friends who will sing it with me!
Let us sing the march that surpasses even death!
Let us sing the march that surpasses even time!
Gunparade march!
Gunparade march!

I wanted to enjoy it, it's from the creators of some of my favorite games, but it's much too like anime. It's way too cliche and spends too much time on the drama instead of the gameplay segments. I think you're overselling it.

How is it too cliche? Tell me one game that has the same setting and style of characters of GPM.

Muv luv copied it, so it doesn't count. I'm not overselling it, I think saying it exactly as it is.

Depends on how good you are. You gotta be pretty good, if you can read pic related that's a good start

The problem is that there are several mechanics you're being taught and you gotta be really careful otherwise you'll be left behind.

This is the type of game that will play you instead of having you play it if you can't keep your shit together.

I mean shit, the game plays itself if you're not proactive with your stuff

Alright, be careful with the intro because it's pretty fast if you're not used to reading moon fast though

you'll be alright if you pay attention and memorize all the mechanics

The game is an SRPG "style" mixed with a simulator of school life, but it's the ultimate simulator that you will ever see, and the SRPG or some even call it T(table)RPG is really really strategy based and can pull you in hard if you're into that style of game

What I liked the most though was the AI of the characters as you relate with them, and all the mechanics of relationship between characters and you, and even between npcs.

I gotta say, from all these years playing mecha games this is probably one of the few ones that legitimately feels like you're in control or your mech.
I even played Xenoblade X and it was a different, cool experience, but I still felt like I was bound by my mechs limitations

Gunpared March's mechs make you really feel like you're riding the mechs, you can use it in manual mode and automatic mode, and you can push your character and your mech's limits depending on your turn action codes with draw backs

And depending how good you are you can even use your drawbacks as a strategy in battle

God now I want to play this game again

Yeah, but the meaning goes through normally though. When I say what law we choose to protect implies which one we choose to follow.

Which is the meaning she means to say in that context anyway, the law we protect, the law we abide are the ones we choose. We are the master of ourselves.

I'm not saying this the has a mechanic for literally everything you do Gunparade March. I'm not saying this is the war tax is included in the products, and I'm also not saying your success in battle affects this tax Gunparade March. Nor am I saying the NPCs have a relationship with you and other characters which is affected by the atmosphere as a consequence of theit humor or position Gunparade March. I'm also not saying what you do can impact the humors of characters, nor am I saying characters end up liking or disliking each other without your intervention Gunparade March. I'm not talking about the mechanics of sliding that happens in manual mode because your mech is too fast, nor am I saying that the weight of your weapons affect your speed and how you can move in battle, let alone the mech customization that is more in depth than so many mecha focused games Gunparade March. I'm also not saying that for everything you do is done by an XY axis, from training to even how you relate to characters, which means I'm not saying that when you bring up a subject to talk about with a character there's an XY axis asking "how happy" or "how loud" is your voice when you mention this subject. And I'm not implying these characters react differently depending on how you bring up the subject, which subject you choose and the atmosphere you're speaking in, Gunparade March. I'm also not saying these characters by their own "free will" talk to you under these mechanics either. It also was not mentioned how you can train on a mirror to improve your attractiveness, nor was it saidyou can train army related skills that actually affect how well you work in battle, nor am I saying your relationship with other characters unlock skills for them to use in battle, and their relationship with you unlocks skills for you to use in battle Gunparade March.

I'm saying it's all the above, in a war setting where you can make a difference in this battle and learn how to bake cookies Gunparade March

There is if you make a request for it, you can change the position of most people in the game

But you cant specifically choose who will take the position of whoever gets in his/her place. E.g you can ask to change your subpilot but you cannot choose who gets assigned as your subpilot in her stead

There's a way to see who will be put in the position you remove but I'm not saying how. Finding out stuff in this game is where most of the fun comes from

It's not that I ran into an issue, it's just the game is fairly slow paced and I can't imagine myself beating it. I'll keep playing but I'm just not hooked yet.

Actually I do have a question. What should my schedule be? So far I did my mission, maybe ate some ramen and head to bed. I reckon I should probably do some physical training or something. Also, when do new characters get introduced?

>> No.2551196

>>2551161
There will be a moment where you'll be asked to train your energy and your strength to rank A.

After you do that the new characters will be introduced, the hanger will be installed and you'll have more stuff to worry about.

>What should my schedule be?

Whatever you want, the freedom is there so you gotta make your own decisions and find out stuff on your own.

You can interact with a bunch of stuff and train several skills, obtain new skills from relationships, or gather up morale to buy weapons.

If you can get yourself as immersed as possible this will hook you for sure.

Some good tips for early on is try to up your relationship with buuta, and I think there was a trash bin somewhere now I don't remember when that you can find a coin that you can sell for 100 thousand yen
