I loved Evil Zone. The grab system meant you couldn't just run away and spam projectiles, the characters' story modes were fun, for a PS1 3D fighter the graphics were colorful and well-detailed, and the way the ultimate attacks worked there was always a chance you could pull off a huge upset so players had to stay on their toes. I honestly don't think it gets the respect it deserves, my friends and I played the shit out of it. I'd buy a sequel in a heartbeat.

It's fun to watch, but it's not a good fighting game at all. There's no depth to it and the characters basically all play the same except for their animations. Great character design and nice production values tho.

To each their own. I enjoyed its simplicity and would often change the way I played to match the fighter's personalities. It never got old for me.

I always fuck up my thumb in this game because you have to suddenly steer the whole time, the graphics and sounds are pretty bad in comparison to arcade version this port is based, but I don't mind. Love Jaleco racing games and the 24h mode is sweet.
