About how well does this emulate? Ocarina runs buggy on PJ64.

The Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link plays fine, but the controller isn't ideal for those games.
I never really played this discs version of Ocarina of Time, since I already had it on the Wind Waker bonus disc. That one was fine, though.
Majora's Mask has the risk of freezing. It doesn't happen that often, and it doesn't make the game unplayable, but be ready to see it happen at least once during your playthrough.

I've got the Collector's Edition and played dozens of hourse with it, and I can confirm what anon said. The games run perfectly fine except for Majora's Mask which has some minor slowdown issues (most notably in south clock town) and rare freezes, but it's still very much playable.

I havent had any problems with 2.1

Why run an emulation of an emulation? Just emulate the individual titles themselves.

>> No.2492587

LoZ1 and Adventure of Link seem pretty flawless.

Ocarina of Time is mostly good. I haven't noticed any in-game lag, but the menu screen is slightly slow to appear. The transition definitely looks irregular compared to the N64 version, but nowhere near as bad as a computer-emulated version.

Majora's Mask is a lagfest, especially in Clocktown. The frame rate looks no better than 10 fps most of the time.

Both OoT and MM can occasionally freeze up. It seems to be related to the GC's memory management. The more areas you explore during the course of a single playthrough, the more garbage that accumulates in memory, eventually causing the game to lock up. As long as you save regularly and reset after an hour or so of playing, it should be fine.

well good for you
> paper mario has audio popping in menus
> 007/Perfect dark has stutter
> hybid haven slows down with certain enemies
But YOU dont have those problems so I guess I dont either. MY BAD.
You are entitled to respond with whatever you like but your post is suspiciously close to being a shitpost.

I am aware could probably fix some of these problems with older plugins but I have already exhausted as much time into it as I am willing.

I've never, ever had OoT freeze up and I've beaten that version three times. As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect. It's also 640p.

I apologize, I thought this thread was referring to the actual disk. I should've actually read the whole thread.

From memory it's perfect except for MM as others have already said. I sold it for a tidy bundle years ago and don't regret it but that's because I have all those games on original hardware.
