Oh, I do. But for me, that category goes to MM2 because I know it so well and I have fun every time I play it. I have in on my phones emulator and am always starting a new game just to get the experience of blowing through the 8 robot master stages. While 3 is my favorite MM game, 2 is just super comfortable to me. I even have a save state right at the room with all 8 robot masters so if I'm ever just waiting around (doctor, mechanic, etc) I can just bust it out and have some fun.

If you're really wanting to "perfect" this template, my only other recommendation would be to make the word "RETRO" have a black outline with red inside, like the one that is stamped over the OP, but you should keep the retro font on it as well. And maybe double space the words because it's not exactly the most readable right now.

Honestly it's taken me a couple years of practice. I can't speak it well, only read it. I learned by playing RPGs very slowly, with a Japanese dictionary and taking notes. It's not a good way to learn.

That said, anyone can learn the kana in a few days. Then you learn a few hundred kanji over a couple months. You'd be surprised how far that gets you, even in text heavy games like RPGs.

The hack, Ultima: A New Exodus is almost my favorite NES game; my team is usually a Paladin (named Fiona), Illusionist (named Naomi), Ranger (named Beth, I know the sprite is supposed to be male, but I have headcanon that she's just an androgyne, using the hood and cloak to hide a few features), and a Lark (I think I usually call her Emily).

You should seriously try playing the hack though, I'd be willing to bet you'd never play the original again.

The King of Dragons comes pretty close to Super Mario World and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. My love for hack 'n slash is the reason why I have almost three hundred hours on Dragon's Crown on my PS3.
