It's not my favorite game but memes aside, it's quite cool. Lots of variety, good graphics (the backgrounds are really cool, plus dat parallax), neat effects like the rotating tower, good music, and just a neat atmosphere that's goofy and comic book-y.

I find BT&DD is way less generous with lives than the first game. The stages are also extremely long.

I don't like this game. It's too hard for it's own good in my opinion.

What controller are you using?
Some controllers make it harder or almost impossible because you spend too much time in the diagonal ranges, which cause you to slow down. Try to switch directions as fast as possible. If you're using a 360 controller the D-pad is so inaccurate you couldn't do it with all the luck in the world.

Try using a keyboard, but even then you have to adjust your timing to the release mechanism of the keyboard.

Clinger-Winger is one of those levels that seemed super hard when I first played it, but now is practically a rest period between the hard final stages. I dunno, something about the timing, once you get it down, it's just second nature. I play on original NES hardware though.

Rat Race #3, on the other hand, is always a buttclench for me no matter what.
