I recommend figuring out what you're going to need to go the Retrode route, starting a crowdfunding campaign with a cut-off limit since people are going to not like you if you get $1,000 for something that should run you in the range of $80 or so, advertising it here and asking for $1 or so, and then ordering the thing when you have the money.

Thank you for your effort and willingness to dump this rom. Big SNES enthusiast here. I have the super ufo pro 8 and the rom dumping will be simple. After putting in an SD card that's formatted to fat32 I think, you go to the backup icon on the main menu, and choose the Cart to SD one. All simple stuff that I probably didn't need to explain lol. Buy an Arduino amd build your own ROM dumped. You could build and program one in an afternoon. Actually one of the easiest projects you could do.

The elaborate, you look the cart pin out, hook up the address pins on the Arduino to the cart, hook up the data pins on the arduino to the cart, sweep through the addresses, and read what comes out to your computer where you can dump it. No fancy pants Chinese piece of crap required.

Super UFO Pro 8 = 50 pounds or so plus shipping, can only read SNES carts.
The equipment I have = costs nothing extra since I already have it, can read thousands of JEDEC compatible chips from any system, far beyond videogames (try dumping the sample rom from a 1987 Casio synth with your cartridge reader).

My "illogic dumping equipment" can dump tens of thousands of devices, the super ufo 8 can only read SNES carts. Since I do not have a Super 8, it would cost me extra. So for the purposes of dumping a SNES cart, I'd be cheaper off using the equipment I already have, which suffices for the job and I've already dumped and/or programmed lots of stuff with it.

SNES carts do not use mappers, they have the ROM directly mapped to the data/address pins of the cart. If there are two ROM chips, they'd be mapped either as even/odd configuration, or in increasing portions. Either of those can be figured out and fixed in a minute.

The cart pinout is known and documented, so I just have to reroute the data and address pins of the cart into one matching a chip my dumper supports.

There is no mapping anywhere. The cartridge pins directly connect to the rom. You just connect those to the dumper and you'll dump exactly what a SNES would see.
