Played this game so much as a kid. Never really see it talked about much.

Any other games that mix together totally different genres in clever ways?

I remember buying this game when it was new. I told a kid on the bus about it and he laughed at me and said the game was so generic. I was like awww, I don't know what that word means but it sounds bad. And because of that I almost never played it before I sold it.

90% of games were generic back then, that kid was retarded.

Oh I'm sure he was. I don't think even he knew was the word meant. Still though, it makes me sad that I only played it a tiny bit.

I only remember the boxart/cart art. Not the eyes, just that weird dragon face. I didn't remember where it came from until I was at least 17 when I saw it in a Pawn Shop.

This is game actually really unique funnily enough. It's a cool mix of a fast paced shooter and a top down Zelda style game

Obviously I don't know the kid but that sounds like he was just insulting the game by parroting a mature-sounding word he had heard someone else use as an insult despite probably having no idea what the word meant. Hell, given how kids can be, he might have never even played the game (and I haven't either).
