ITT games you owned and could never beat as a kid

I always got stuck in the second level, I was a kid and I didn't bother exploring and talking to everyone to learn hints and where items were hidden.

> tfw nobody writes where they got stuck

What's even the point then if there's no space for dick comparing?

Golden axe - somewhere near the end, on the max difficulty setting

Mickey Mouse (the one where it's like history of mickey, fucking brilliant)

Jurassic park - second level stuck-guarantee

MJ moonwalker - fucking zombies man

Road rashes, yeah - although I was close in one of them, but fucking sega got stucked

Robocop vs terminator - the boss in the office with terminators, like 6th level maybe

ristar - don't even remember, I guess lava level or the level after that

Alien soldier - I think it was 18 level, it was a boss battle from the start, beating Eagle-fuck on an elevator - couldn't handle it

>> No.2437497

>>2437495
And of course

Sonic 2 - at first it was that fucking second level, but after beating it I managed to skim through the chapters after that quite fast - got to oil. Then I think I got to flying sky station.

>Jurassic park - second level stuck-guarantee

you know that you can play as Grant or the raptor, and you've never finished either?

>> No.2437516

I think the only one I actually owned and haven't beaten yet is Megaman 1 for the Game Boy, back then I never beat the final guy in the teleport room with the sword (unsure if he's supposed to be Protoman, looks a bit different than he usually does). By now I can beat him easily but never cleared the next (final?) stage, unsure where exactly I gave up last time.

I have been actively working on obtaining and beating everything I had and didn't finish back then, so there is little left by now. I played Skate or Die for GB back then (wasn't mine though) and reached the final boss, but didn't defeat him. Got it here, didn't start yet.

Then there's Belmont's Revenge, didn't have it back then but added it for completion's sake, stuck at Soleiyu, everyone's favorite 8-bit domestic violence simulator.

I think that's pretty much it. I played a few games that were just plain bad and I feel no need to finish them, plus we had Battletoads for Mega Drive, but I'm not adding that to the list anytime soon. I do lack some of the classics like the very first Super Mario Brothers and Metroid 2 or even A Link to the Past.

Fucking this. I played it so many times and always got stuck and lost interest at the water level.

I emulated it a couple of years ago and got to the end using save states just to give myself closure.

No, even as a raptor.

I got stuck at the first-person maze level for a little while, but it was pretty short and I was able to memorize it eventually.

It's been ages since I last played it but I vaguely recall that the furthest I got was a level where you have to get away from the dog chasing you.

I could never get past the Java level in this. There was a certain point when your sent to a specific area and I could never find it. Shame, I always wanted to check out the 70s New York level but to this day haven't even seen it.

pleb as fuck. I beat that doom stage as a 6 year old, though you better believe I was panicking

Reminder that the developers didn't included a password system because they were worried that people would publish level codes.

One of them later said this was "unforgivable". They were right.

Just as bad.

For the longest time, I couldn't even get past the very first stage. This was before I had access to the internet and one of my friends eventually figured out that you had to use the tank to make it up to the Alien Processor. I eventually did beat the game, but not without cheating. Body Harvest was pretty damn difficult to me.

As for a game I actually never did beat: Tom & Jerry: Frantic Antics. It was a video game based on the first movie. I could make it to the final boss but could never figure out how to win.

Each level has a boss at the end. The second one is just the boss, and I could never get past it. I eventually revisited it and beat the game twice.

lel?
did you live in poverty with no friends?
mang, all the kids in my area had megadrives, we'd swap games all the time.

then there was cash converters (pawn b/t)
used to find megadrive games in there for £1~ a shot boxed, not like fifa 95 or megagames1 shit either.

thats a small list of actual games I owned, just the ones I couldnt beat !!

I had all the worth while n64 ones and Dreamcast !
