You know, you don't really see many games using the fact that it's long and difficult as fuck as a point in advertisement. Sure, RPGs often boast about the amount of content "over 100 hours of content" etc.), but that's different as the time comes from having lots of dialogue and cutscenes rather than having to spend days trying to clear the first dungeon.

If anything Postal 1 is edgier than Hatred in some ways, namely the fact that you re-enact the Dunblane Massacre at the very end, when that had happened almost exactly a year before Postal was released (and the UK government was passing anti-gun laws because of that, just when Postal was released).

If anything Hatred comes across as blander as Postal tbh, the soundtrack is nowhere as nightmarish as Postal's and Postal had all that hellish/demonic imagery. And I liked how the manual showed pic related as the Postal Dude - I like the idea of this monster being nothing more than a frightened, retarded teenager.

There's a print ad that I'm looking for, maybe you folks can help me. It's for 3Dfx accelerator cards. The image shows a bunch of surgeons working hard on some complicated procedure. A dude in shirt and jeans is leaning over and saying something along the lines of "you think that's what a blaster wound would look like?" Tagline is that 3Dfx works hard to deliver the most realistic graphics ever. As far as I know it was part of a series, so if you happen to know of others, they're welcome a well

Still better than the ad with the parents watching their two kids simultaneously play SMB1 without the cartridge inserted, no cords from the console, and Mario jumping into a pit to his death.

Who gives a shit about Nintendo? The ad was arrogant and clueless, is all I said.
Can't comprehend that people may understand technology without being drooling fanboys, can you?

Because I prefer zero seek times on interactive entertainment? And consider the FMV fad one of the worst things to happen to video games, because it lead to cookie cutter bullshit "gaming" that's fancy real-time rendered movies occasionally interrupted by 1970s gameplay?
The only Nintendo devices I own (and owned) are a GBC and a DS.
I don't give a flying fuck about console wars, unlike your paranoid ass. I just call out superior tech for the task at hand when I see it.

They continue to innovate today with the Wii U and the improved NEW 3DS.

In the 20th century mass producing huge ROM chips was really expensive. Your "superior technology" (I'm not even arguing that it isn't superior, if money grew on trees, then carts would be used for everything) would have been to expensive to sell.

Look at modern prices. A 25GB BD is about 1$, a 16GB SD card is about 6$.

SSD/SDs are R/W, ROMs aren't. ROM chips were profitable for systems up to the N64 and all mobile systems that weren't a PSP. The problem is the obsession with storage space, which ends up leading to space wasters, instead of games.

you're forgetting the fact that the larger n64 carts were extremely expensive and the publisher had to pay for the costs

There were a few Star Wars games, and the rest is probably advertisement liberty, since you do find these characters in games, albeit not all of them playable.

you're correct, the only N64 star wars launch title was shadows of the empire, darth vader isn't even in that game

the plain red and green shirts of Mario and Luigi are just simplified representations of working class shirts, them being plumbers and all that.

I had that magnifier/light for my Game Boy. It actually was pretty useful since the GB screes is pretty small, and there was no internal lighting. External lighting isn't that great, but it's better than nothing if you're playing in the dark.

The other stuff seems kind of pointless, though, and probably isn't worth making the GB even bulkier.

>> No.2441235

>>2432820
If you're finding screens for Zeta, then it's all you're going to find aside from the game itself, which you can request on Tokugawa Corps. The game isn't discussed much even on Japanese sites, and its sequel Nirvana hasn't been auctioned in maybe a decade.

Yeah. Your right. It is in the ad. But that since I couldn't remember the name of the game, it made FINDING the ad that much more difficult.
