People are going to suggest Rockman 4 Minus Infinity, but just know this; while the first set of robot master stages is amazing, as well as the first few Cossack stages, it takes a nosedive in quality as soon as you get to the Labyrinth.

It's worth a go, not denying that. Just something to keep in mind.

I've played TSRP:R. It's nothing special. All romhacks do is make me wish I were playing the original games they're based on, since the original games were created by professionals who actually knew what they were doing.

I only bother with translations and improvement hacks like Simon's Quest Redacted or ones that uncensor content and/or fix bugs.

Super Demo World the Legend continues is a must-play.

Redesign is a must play (this coming from a huge Metroid fan; beat and loved all 4 games)
Redesign is good because it's hard but you can beat it without savescumming.
Some parts are kind of BS though, but it's not NEAR as bad as some of these loser games I see.
